Challenge
The "JOBS" functionality for Amazin must meet the needs of two distinct user groups—employers and candidates—in the nightlife industry. The challenge lies in designing an intuitive, visually appealing platform that caters to employers seeking qualified personnel and candidates looking for job opportunities, all while balancing ease of use and the complexity of features like detailed profiles, quick applications, and efficient job posting. The solution must support mobile-first users while providing distinct yet seamless experiences for both parties.
Goal
The primary goal is to design a set of screens that ensure a fluid, intuitive user experience for both employers and candidates. For employers, the goal is to simplify the search for qualified candidates with features like detailed filters, references, and video presentations. For candidates, the focus is on facilitating job search and application processes with options to create comprehensive profiles and apply with a single click. The objective is to strike a balance between functionality and simplicity, fostering engagement and user satisfaction.
Solution
To achieve this, the design is based on insights gathered from user interviews and a competitive benchmark analysis. The solution consists of three key screens: - Employer Dashboard: A clean and functional interface for job posting, with filters for skills, experience, and references. Employers can quickly browse candidates in both list and grid views, with video presentations and reviews easily accessible. The process of posting jobs will be streamlined into two or three steps. - Candidate Profile Creation: A mobile-first approach to creating a detailed, visually appealing profile with sections for skills, past work examples, and videos. This screen allows candidates to showcase their abilities in an engaging way that employers can easily review. - Job Listings & Application: An intuitive job search screen with filters for location, job type, and reviews from former employees. Candidates can browse jobs and apply with one click. The design emphasizes simplicity for quick navigation while offering depth for those seeking more detailed job information. The design has been optimized for mobile use, acknowledging that most users will engage with the platform on-the-go. Wireframes were tested and iterated upon to ensure the best visual and functional design. Special attention was paid to hierarchy, spacing, and visual consistency to enhance clarity and usability.
