Challenge
The current login and registration flow of the Civitatis app presents usability challenges that can lead to friction in the user journey. Users experience disjointed interactions when attempting to log in or register from different areas like Favorites, Reservations, or My Account, often causing frustration and abandonment. Visually, the login and registration interfaces feel outdated and not aligned with modern UX/UI practices, which impacts the overall perception of trust and ease of use. The challenge is to redesign these crucial entry points to create a seamless, visually appealing, and intuitive experience that encourages more users to log in or register, especially in ways that align with Civitatis' business goal of increasing user engagement.
Goal
The goal of this redesign is to create a cohesive and visually modern login and registration experience across the app. By improving the UI consistency and interaction flow between the Favorites, Reservations, and My Account sections, we aim to reduce user friction and foster a sense of convenience and trust. This redesign will focus on simplifying the process of logging in or registering from any point in the user journey, making it as frictionless as possible. The overall objective is to significantly increase the number of users who choose to log in or register, resulting in greater engagement and higher conversion rates, contributing to Civitatis' broader business goals.
Solution
To address the challenge, we will implement a visually cohesive and streamlined login/registration system that integrates seamlessly with the Favorites, Reservations, and My Account sections. The new design will leverage modern UI patterns, including clearer calls to action, simplified input forms, and dynamic visual feedback, making the process more intuitive. Additionally, implementing a "one-tap" login experience through social sign-ins and email/phone autofill options will reduce the time and effort required for users to sign in or register. By focusing on accessibility, mobile responsiveness, and personalized interactions (e.g., welcoming users by name after logging in), we can foster a more engaging experience. These visual and strategic improvements will not only enhance the overall look of the app but also reduce user abandonment and drive higher registration/login rates across all key sections.
