ONBOARDING
Challenge
The need to redesign the onboarding of users in the Civitatis App so that it is conceived as an optimized process. The project seeks to address the need to simplify and improve the landing experience of new users in the application, ensuring security and customization and taking into account the need to request permissions.
Goal
Clear onboarding has been achieved and focused on the needs of the App.
Solution
The final solution of the app onboarding redesign project has focused on addressing the challenge of requesting permissions from the user without losing the user in the process. After benchmarking we identified the need for the first screen designed to focus on clearly stating the need for tracking and cookie permissions, convincing the user that this will improve their experience. Three-step onboarding is used first, to familiarize the user with the application, and then the next two screens are used to calmly and clearly explain why location and notification permissions are necessary. Finally, taking into account the need for the user to register or log in, a pop up with this form appears as an encouragement.
